University League: Kyambogo to face Bugema

Defending champions Kyambogo will face Bugema away in the first leg tie to be played on September 4 in the quarterfinals of the University Football League.

The two sides were matched in Tuesday's draws at Kati Kati Restaurant in Lugogo.

The tie between Kyambogo and Bugema will be a repeat of last season's semifinal which the latter went on to win 3-0 on aggregate to progress to the final.

Bugema went on to defeat Kampala University 3-2 in penalties in the final after a 2-2 draw.

Elsewhere, two-time champions MUBS will take on Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) hosting the first leg in Nakawa against the team they beat to win their first title.

In other quarterfinal ties, Busitema will play UCU while St Lawrence will take on YMCA.
