Mafia after my life, says Anite

At the press conference, Anite claimed that "a mafia cabal" is working round the clock to bump her off.

She claimed that a coterie of individuals has met in two places around the city, to plot how to eliminate her.

However, the minister said she had not reported threats on her life formally to the Police. Turning melodramatic occasionally and sending journalists into fits of laughter, the minister said "a mafia group" has started tapping her phone, and, sometimes "I hear them talking in my phone when I take a call to talk to other people".

Anite alleged that the people after her life are connected to the President. Anite charged that her detractors have raised an army of "young men" to seduce her into bed and take nude photos of her in order to embarrass her.

"I have my husband and I chose him carefully. And I have a right to be naked with him in the bed," Anite added. "When I die, there should be no post-mortem or Police investigations because the killers are known," Anite charged but refused to name the individuals plotting to kill her, telling reporters that they all know the people she is battling against.

Anite showed a document reportedly authored by the Internal Security Organisation (ISO), alleging that UTL assets had been vandalised in Kampala, Jinja, Entebbe, Kabale, Masindi, and Lira districts.
