Golola's visit to Parliament excites MPs

Wherever he goes, trust World Boxing Federation Champion Moses Golola will always leave a trace of excitement.

The situation was not different when Golola paid a courtesy call to the deputy Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah and later Parliament chambers during plenary.

The MPs could not hide their excitement when the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca announced his presence.

"In the gallery, we have world boxing federation champion Moses Golola. Golola defeated Umar Ssemata to the champion. He is accompanied by his manager innocent Kawoya," the Speaker said as Golola beamed with smiles.

Immediately after the welcome, Agago Woman MP Franca Akello amused members when she rose on the point of procedure wondering whether it was procedurally safe for the female members with Golola around.

" Madam speaker, you mentioned that Golola is around. The kick boxer has on several occasions confessed that when he looks at a woman, she becomes pregnant. For us, women, we fear that we might get pregnant," Akello said as the members burst into laughter.

Golola could not hide the excitement either. He rose and acknowledged the members' appreciation.

" What I can advise is that please ladies don't look at him.  Don't look there," Kadaga said pointing at him.

Earlier he had paid met Oulanyah and presented his champion belt. He said he plans to build a state of the art kick boxing academy that will promote sports among the youth.

He said the sports training center in the country are dare need of renovation and equipment.

Oulanyah congratulated him for his recent achievement and promised to offer support to the center.
