Onduparaka looks to end KCCA hoodoo

Aug 15, 2019

This will be a repeat of last season’s Super 8 final that KCCA won 2-0

Pilsner Super 8

URA 1 (5) Proline 1 (4)

Friday: KCCA v Onduparaka

The StarTimes stadium, Lugogo is not a good hunting ground for Onduparaka FC. In fact, their last three encounters against KCCA FC in the Uganda Premier League have ended in 1-0, 4-0 and 7-0 losses to the West Nile side.

Will it be a different case when the two sides face-off in the second semi-final of the Pilsner Super 8 tomorrow?

That is the question lingering in the minds of players in either side ahead of the penultimate moment.

The winner between the two teams will face Vipers SC who ejected Mbarara City, in the other semi-final.

This will be a repeat of last season's Super 8 final that KCCA won 2-0.

For KCCA it will be their first game since their return from Namibia where they suffered a 3-2 defeat to African Stars in the CAF Champions League last weekend.

On their part, Onduparaka beat local side DEI 1-0 in Panyamur, Nebbi in their build-up match on Monday.

KCCA beat new league entrants Wakiso giants 2-0 to reach the last four while Onduparaka eliminated Tooro United 4-3 on penalties.
