Why is he proposing marriage after cheating on me?

I have been dating him for two years and I was not seeing any commitment from him.

However, I recently found out that he has been seeing other girls and I suggested that we end our relationship. 

But since then, he has been over-caring and he is even suggesting that we start planning our introduction. Should I go ahead and organise the introduction?
