Police investigate Ziggy Wyne death

Enanga, who addressed the press on Monday morning, says the family took a layback position after they were threatened by the kidnappers.

The police have started investigations into the death of Firebase crew member and artiste Michael Alinda aka Ziggy Wyne.

The Polic has opened a general inquiry file and a team of investigators at Kawempe regional Police station has started the inquiry, according to Police spokesperson, Fred Enanga.

Enanga, who addressed the press on Monday morning, says the family took a layback position after they were threatened by the kidnappers.

He says the whole issue was not well coordinated between the family and the Police.

He said, however, if the post mortem report indicates that Wyne died of unnatural causes, they will investigate and ensure justice is served.

He says they will get the CCTV footage from Mulago Hospital and follow the leads.

Wyne was reportedly dumped at Mulago Hospital a few days ago and bore marks of torture. His two fingers had been cut and one eye had been plucked out.

He died at the hospital on Sunday night. His body has been taken to his home in Ganda, Nansana, Wakiso district as preparations for burial start.
