Golola returns to Vipers for third stint as head coach

He returns to the club he led to league titles in 2010 and 2015

Vipers has appointed Edward Golola as the club's head coach.

This will be Golola's third stint (2009-11, 2014-15) at the helm of Vipers where he also served as an assistant coach to Portuguese tactician Miguel Da Costa (2017-18) and Kenyan Michael Nam Ouma who he replaced.

Details of how long Golola will be in charge of the club he led to league titles in 2010 and 2015 were not revealed.

The club's president Lawrence Mulindwa told the players of Golola's appointment during Saturday's training session at St Mary's Stadium.

Members of the technical team that was dissolved during the week returned including Ram Nyakana Mpuga (fitness coach), Edward Ssali (second assistant coach), Matthias Kassagga (physiotherapist) and Moses Oloya as goalkeeping coach.

Golola's first assignment will be guiding Vipers through the Super 8 tournament on Tuesday.
