The final of the girls U- 12 will be decided on the final day of the tournament

Primary school competitions are normally a case of fun and games but at Samaritan School in Namugongo, it was all business as schools fought to ensure they contest for the boys and girls NSSF-KAVC international final set for Lugogo from August 2-4.

The pupils showed off an array of talent that will have anyone confident that the finals will be nothing short of exciting.

This also gives organisers a chance to see that the sport is being imparted to the pupils from a young age.

"Most of us learnt the game at the latter stages of our youth and that is why we played well but not for so long," said Anthony Ashaba a veteran who competed in the tournament between 1998 and 2006.

This way they can ensure that the next generation of volleyball players will receive the right skills and play for a very long time.

While Samaritan School and Sunrise Primary School Matugga were the stars of the show and able qualify for the final in the girls U-14 and the boys U-12, Samaritan will have to challenge St James Primary School in the boys U-14.

The final of the girls U- 12 will be decided on the final day of the tournament.
