Rukungiri head teacher found dead

The headteacher of Kyabugashe High School, in Rukungiri district, has been found dead in his bed with bruises all over his body.

Police said they visited the scene upon receiving the information on Wednesday.

The Kigezi Police Spokesperson Elly Maate, has identified the deceased as Kahambisa Kamu, aged 47 years.

He said Kahambisa has been a resident of Butagasi cell in Kinyansano Parish, Rukungiri district.

Maate added that the tragic incident occurred while the deceased's wife was away in Kampala for business.

Police detectives have also retrieved some food samples found in the deceased's house to help them ascertain whether it had any poisonous contamination that could have caused his death.

"We took the body to Mbarara Referral Hospital for postmortem as we continue with inquiries on file number CRB:703/2019," said Maate.
