Notice from UNBS

UNBS is mandated to protect the health & safety of the public and our environment, promote fair trade as well as increase the competitiveness of local products through the implementation and enforcement of compulsory Uganda Standards in line with the Uganda National Bureau of Standards (Inspection and Clearance of Imports) Regulations, 2018 amongst others. Within its mandate, UNBS has the duty to inspect Commodities exported/imported into the country, to ensure that they conform to compulsory Uganda standards. In its desire to improve the quality of imported Commodities, UNBS implements the Pre-Export Verifi cation of Conformity to standards (PVoC) program for general goods through three (3) contracted Service Providers. To implement this,UNBS has completed a procurement process for Provision of PVoC by Service Providers for General Goods and awarded contracts to three (3) Service Providers who shall offer this service worldwide. This notice therefore serves to inform all stakeholders that the contracted PVoC Service Providers effective 1st June 2019 shall be as follows:
