Uganda Cranes final squad to AFCON

The list that was also submitted to CAF saw three players dropped from the team.

Uganda Cranes coach Sebastien Desabre has named his 23 man squad that will compete in the 2019 AFCON finals.
 
The list that was also submitted to CAF saw three players dropped from the team. They are; Alexis Bakka (Carlstad United- Sweden), Kirizestom Ntambi- Coffee FC -Ethiopia) and Sadam Juma (KCCA).
 
The trio joined Moses Waiswa who was released last week after picking up an injury.
But Sadam will remain in Abu Dhabi to train with the rest of the team in case of any eventualities. 
 
But the surprise names are Bevis Mugabi, Ronald Mukiibi and Abdu Lumala who were not part of the  AFCON qualifiers Others are Godfrey Walusimbi and Hassan Wasswa who are clubless. The duo has gone several months without competitive football.
 
The AFCON finals that get underway from June 21 and July 19 will have 24 teams taking part for the first time. Uganda is placed in Group A alongside hosts Egypt, Zimbabwe, and DRC. They will face DRC on June 22 in their opening game.
