Muslims told to maintain purity after fasting season

“It would be a waste of time if you continued with those bad habits after the fasting season”

The Iganga district khadi, Sheikh Sinani Muwanika, has cautioned Muslims against indulging in habits like drinking and fornication after the end of the fasting season.

Muwanika made the remarks while addressing hundreds of Muslims during Eid prayers held at Iganga Municipal Primary School on Tuesday morning.

He said a majority of Muslims always resort to bad habits after the fasting season to end instead of repenting.

"It would be a waste of time if you continued with those bad habits after the fasting season," he said.

Muwanika appealed to Muslims in Iganga district to continue with the spirit of unity.

"It is only in Iganga that Muslims pray from one place in the entire country unlike other areas," he said.

He urged Muslims to embrace government programs like Operation Wealth Creation to ensure that they improve their household incomes.

The Imam of Nakalama Mosque, Sheikh Hussein Kisambira, hailed donors for their support towards constructing mosques across the district.
