Eid prayers in Bundibugyo district were disrupted by the morning rains which left many people stranded in their homes.
At Bundibugyo main mosque, Imam Abdullah Musinguzi was forced to adjourn the time of prayers from 9 am to 10 am.
"We have been disorganised by the heavy rain. It started raining as early as 7:00 am," said Musinguzi.
The heavy rain caused flooding in most parts of the town.
Once prayers eventually got underway, Musinguzi asked the Muslim community in the district to embrace peace for the development of the region.
