Pilgrims throng Namugongo

The Martyrs Day celebrations take place on every June 3 commemorate the Christians who were killed by Kabaka Mwanga for their faith.

 

WAKISO - Hundreds of pilgrims have thronged Numugongo martyrs' shrines ahead of Uganda Martyrs' Day celebrations and security has been tightened and the Police vans have been mounted with CCTV cameras.

 
President Yoweri Museveni is expected to preside over the celebrations which will be congregated by various delegations across the world.
