Despite her side's 28-24 defeat to former champions Nkumba University on Saturday, Prison's Scovia Lamunu maintained the top spot in the scorers' chart of the Women National handball league.
 
Prisons lost their first game of the season to Nkumba on Saturday to stay third with six points while Nkumba stayed on top with nine points from five games. Ndejje is second with eight points from four games.
 
In the other women games, Kawanda secondary school stunned Police with a 27-25 win in a tightly contested game that saw Police players claim poor officiation by the referees.
 
"Referees must apply the rules well on the court. We are putting a lot of time in this game but referees seem to only know the rules in theory but cannot apply them properly," an official Wyne Frank said.
 
Kyengeza lost to Nkajja 27-24 in the games played at Mandela National Stadium Namboole
 
In the men's league, Evergreen lost 49-38 to former champions Prisons, Kyambogo beat Kyengeza 38-22 while Police whipped Mukono Lions 43-30.
 
Ndejje tops the standings with eight points from four games while Makerere is second with six points and Prisons also six points in the third position.
