Uganda 0 Kenya 3

Rwanda 3 Ethiopia 0

Kenya showed their prowess as they relegated Uganda to their first loss of the tournament and qualify for the All Africa game on Tuesday night.

Tony Lakonys side was good but not strong enough to upend the firepower available to coach Japheth Munala as they run out as 3-0 (25-20,25-17,25-16) winners at the Lugogo Arena.

The Volleyball She Cranes did give it their best although it was not good enough to knock the Kenyans off their perch.

"The girls did well although they disappointed with the serve. We could have done better had we served them well," Lakony said.

It wasn't all doom and gloom for most of the players in the team because Doreen Akiteng and Saidat Nnungi got some joy when they targeted Mercy Moim.

That ploy worked wonders as it jammed the Kenyans but they soon found a solution and managed to pull away from the Ugandans.

Lots of promise

For a side that was supposed to be blown out of the water, they showed a lot of resistance but the lack of experience made the job easier for the very tall Kenyans.

As winners of the tie, Kenya will represent the Zone at the All Africa games set for August in Rabat Morroco.
