Heathens win 14th league title

To win the league, Heathens wrapped up the season with 80 points, followed by Kobs on 77 points.

Hima Cement Heathens beat Dusupay Warriors 18-13 at Kyadondo Rugby Club on Saturday to win the Nile Special Premier Rugby League.
 
The victory handed Heathens their fourteen league title with veteran hooker Alex Mubiru winning his 10th league crown for the Kyadondo side.

"Yes, I'm very happy because I am the only Uganda player to win 10 league titles for the club," Mubiru said.

Mubiru could not confirm whether he was going to retire said, "You have seen me practice as a referee which means that am preparing for my life after active rugby but that does not mean I am quitting."
 
He added that he would only quit if there is a youngster who can upstage him but at the moment he will stay active.

To win the league, Heathens wrapped up the season with 80 points, followed by Kobs 77 and Pirates 74 in second and third positions respectively.
