Uganda marks World Kidney Day

The Uganda Kidney Foundation (UKF) organized a three-day kidney awareness campaign with a call on government to create more treatment centres and train more specialists. The event that took place at the Uganda Parliament in Kampala from March 26 to 29, 2019 is partly sponsored by Vision Group. The Chairperson Organising Committee, Joseph Gyagenda said a number of activities were lined up including free kidney screening that that took place on March 28, 2019. The Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Jacob Oulanyah was the chief guest at the event.
