Crested Cranes prepare for Olympics qualifier against Ethiopia

The Crested Cranes will play Ethiopia in the first leg on April 3 away in Addis Ababa before hosting the return leg three days later.

The National women football team-Crested Cranes captain Tracy Jones Akiror is optimistic that her side is ready for Olympics challenge.
 
Akiror revealed this as the Crested Cranes prepare to take on Ethiopia in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games qualifier
 
"We have started well and although we have not been together for a while, we hope to respond well to the guidelines given to us by our coaches, and the hot weather here prepares us for the same in Ethiopia," stated Akiror as her side is currently undergoing a training camp at FUFA Technical Centre,Njeru.

A team of 30 players was summoned to start preparations for the encounters and is being handled by head coach Faridah Bulega.
 
The team also comprises of three foreign-based players and these include Sandra Nabweteme (SW Oklahoma University, USA), Fazila Ikwaput (BIIK Kazygurt, Kazakhstan) and Yudaya Nakayenze (Seminole Women Soccer team, USA).
