Uganda Cranes assistant Captain Hassan Wasswa Mawanda is confident they will overcome Tanzania on Sunday.

‘We are not under any pressure. They (Tanzania) are the team on pressure. We shall fight for nothing but maximum points in Dar es Salaam," noted Wasswa.

Wasswa revealed this in Cairo, Egypt where Cranes are undergoing five-day training camp ahead of the last qualifier of the group stages.

Uganda who already qualified for AFCON is top of Group L with 13 points, eight above second and third-placed Lesotho and Tanzania. Cape Verde is bottom with four points.

In Cairo, the team will engage in double training sessions (morning and evening) before playing a practice match on Wednesday against a local club. From Cairo, the team will switch to Dar-es-Salaam on Saturday ahead of the Sunday tie with Tanzania.

The Cranes contingent which comprised of locally based players landed safely in Egypt ahead of their training camp on Monday morning.

They were joined by foreign-based players such as Edris Lubega, Joseph Ochaya, Khalid Aucho, as well as goalkeepers Salim Jamal and Denis Onyango (Captain) among others.
