Group A will be comprised of Busoga, Kampala, Tooro and Rwenzori

FUFA president Moses Magogo has promised better organisation in the forthcoming edition of the FUFA Drum Competition.

"I must admit, we had challenges in the first edition, but we shall only get better. We have a new format in place. This is meant to help give sponsors mileage. This tournament causes a lot of emotions and this is good for the event," stated Magogo at the launch of the second edition on Tuesday at Jevine Hotel in Rubaga, Kampala. Draws for the group stage were also conducted at the event.

"I am very glad that we have the second edition of the FUFA Drum tournament. I thank the stakeholders who enabled the successful running of the first edition. Let us enjoy the tournament and encourage our fans to take part through mobilisation," added Magogo.

The new edition will get underway on March 29 with group stage matches.

Group A will be comprised of Busoga, Kampala, Tooro and Rwenzori, while defending champions Buganda, Ankole, Lango and Sebei will make up Group B.

Last season runners up, West Nile, Acholi, Bunyoro and Karamoja were placed in Group C while Group D has Bukedi, Bugisu, Teso and Kigezi.

In the new format of the completion, all the eight teams that will qualify for quarterfinals will be placed in two groups for the knockout round.
