Kawempe Muslim on verge of fifth women league title

The school funded side over the weekend defeated Ajax Queens 2-0 to become the first club to progress to the playoff round.

Kawempe Muslim moved close to winning their fifth consecutive title in the FUFA Women Elite League.
 
The school funded side over the weekend defeated Ajax Queens 2-0 to become the first club to progress to the playoff round.
 
The victory saw Kawempe move to 28 points with four games left for the regular season to end. Juliet Nalukenge and Asia Nakibuuka each had a goal for Kawempe Muslim.
 
In the other games played in the group, She Corporates played to 1-1 draw with Rines, while Hasifah Nassuna inspired UCU Lady Cardinals as they moved top of the Elizabeth Group.  
 
Nassuna scored a hattrick as UCU defeated Isra Soccer Academy 4-2 in Mukono to go top on 21 points. Maureen Kinavudori added the other for the University who are seeking to qualify for the playoffs while Fauziah Najjemba scored a double for Isra.
