MUBS failed to get past the group stages last year but coach Charles Aiyekoh is optimistic his side will do better this year

Two-time Pepsi University Football League champions MUBS will start this year's campaign against last season's quarterfinalists UCU this afternoon at their grounds in Nakawa in Group D action.
 
UCU coach Kintu Mwera is confident in his troops ahead of the fixture, "We are aware of the game, it's a tough away fixture but the boys are ready and we are confident of coming out with a positive result," he said.
 
MUBS failed to get past the group stages last year but coach Charles Aiyekoh is optimistic his side will do better this year, considering he has taken up his coaching role at the team fully and not part time like before.
 
Aiyekoh had been serving both as MUBS coach as well as coach of Super League side Kirinya Jinja SS until recently when he stepped down from the latter.  
 
Action on Sunday afternoon saw Busitema playing out a one all draw against Kumi University in Group C action.
 
The visitors took the lead through Opito Solomon in the 22nd minute before Ngabino Titus drew the hosts level in the 39th minute.
 
No goals in the second half ensured that the points were shared in Busitema.
