Museveni visits Rwenzururu queen mother in hospital

President Yoweri Museveni paid a courtesy call on the Queen mother of Rwenzururu Kingdom Christine Biira Mukirania at Case Clinic in Kampala where she is admitted.

The President made an impromptu visit to the clinic on his way to Addis Ababa where he joined other heads of state and government for the African Union summit on Saturday.

While at the clinic, Museveni briefly talked to Mukirania and some family members and health officials privately.

Mukirania is the mother of the current King of the Rwenzururu kingdom, Wesley Charles Mumbere Iremangoma, and the wife of Isaiah Mukirania, the original leader of the secessionist movement in Kasese and the first Rwenzururu king.

She is also the mother to agriculture state minister Christopher Kibazanga.
