The Nile Special Premier Rugby League resumes this Saturday after the Christmas break, with three games on card.

Champions Stanbic Pirates take on Dusupay Warriors at Legends Rugby club in a must win game if they are to defend their title.

The Betway Kobs take on Toyota Buffaloes, while Hima Heathens face stubborn Plascon Mongers in another mouthwatering fixture.

Mongers will be out to end Heathens' unbeaten run as they target a top three finish in the league this season.

"I know the boys have been on holiday and may be rusty, but we shall be out to give our hosts a run," said Monger's tactician Ssebalamu Kigongo.

Team captain Elijah Ssegawa is expected to return after an injury. To Pirates' Robert Musinguzi, his charges return to their former ground with a win as the only target.

"Dusupay Warriors are a strong side and we are not taking them for granted. We shall be out for a win and after securing that win we shall look for a bonus point," Musinguzi said.
