Austrian diplomat graces centenary choir Christmas concert

KAMPALA- The Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Austria, Dr Karl Wipfler has praised the Catholic Centenary Memorial Choir (CACEMCHO) for its evangelistic musical ministry, which has helped many people to change their ways and walk in holistic righteousness.
Wipfler praised members of the choir for their voluntary spirit, which motivates them to sacrifice their time and money for the service of the Church.
Dr Wipfler made the remarks during the Catholic Centenary Memorial Choir Christmas Concert at Christ the King Church, Kampala on Sunday (December 1). Wipfler (who was the Chief Guest at the Concert) later donated sh1.1m to the choir.
The Chairman of the choir, Joseph Lwanga Kiggundu Mugerwa paid tribute to the Christians and all people of good will for supporting it during the 40 years of its existence.
He later called for financial donations towards the purchase of a public address system for the choir, which is estimated at sh20m.
The Catholic Centenary Choir was formed in 1979 as a memorial ensemble for the 100th anniversary of the Catholic faith in Uganda. Its members were selected from all the Catholic dioceses of Uganda.
