BOAT ACCIDENT

Flags are flying at half-mast over Ugandan Government Buildings as a mark of respect to victims of last weekend's boat cruise accident on Lake Victoria.

It is not known how many people were on the vessel, but many fishermen on the lake say they were over 100 people on boat that sank on Saturday evening near Mutima Beach in Mpatta sub-county, Mukono district.

More than 30 people died and 26 were rescued. The rest are still uncounted for.
