INVITATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION OF MARINE CLASSIFICATION SOCIETIES

The Government of the Republic of Uganda intends to secure the services of Marine Classification Societies to act as Recognised Organisations for the Government of Uganda.  The Services of the classification societies shall include, but not be limited to the conduct of port and flag state control activities and offer technical backstopping to the GoU in negotiating and signing of International Maritime related agreements and protocols. The Ministry of Works and Transport now invites eligible Maritime Classification Societies for pre-qualification in providing these services. Interested Classification Societies must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Classification Societies may constitute joint­ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.

  1. The Ministry of Works and Transport invites written sealed Expression of Interest from eligible contractors for procurement of Service Providers to supply Local Construction Materials, Tools and Safety wear to District Road Rehabilitation Units under framework
  2. The Ministry of Works and Transport invites written sealed bids from eligible bidders to undertake the execution of provision of Local Construction Materials, Tools and Safety wear as stipulated in the bidding document. 
  3. Lot 1 to Lot 5, the invitation to bid is restricted to Local firms from particular regions of origin only; a firm shall not bid in more than one region.
    Lot 6, 7 and Lot 8, a bidder from any of the region is allowed to participate in the procurement.
