Makerere University gets new deputy chancellors

The Chancellor of Makerere University Kampala, Prof. Ezra Suruma has appointed Dr Umar Kakumba, 1^st Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic Affairs) and Prof. William Bazeyo, the 2nd Deputy Vice Chancellor (Finance and Administration).

Following recommendation of the University Council, Prof. Suruma issued instruments of appointment on Thursday November 15, 2018.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe congratulated Dr Umar Kakumba and Prof. William Bazeyo on being appointed.

"I have worked with both of them, and I know that they love their alma mater-Makerere University. Their career and life path is testimony of that alumnus and member of staff who has effectively utilised their knowledge, skill, talent and resources to diligently serve Makerere University. Congratulations," said Nawangwe.
