Opposition leaders under the Inter-Party Organization for Dialogue (IPOD) which brings together the five political parties in parliament are meeting President Yoweri Museveni today in State House.

The NRM Secretary General Justine Kasule Lumu told journalists on Saturday morning in the presence of opposition leaders at the NRM party headquarters that the President had requested to meet the IPOD council today in State House.

The opposition leaders who included the DP Secretary Gerald Siranda, FDC vice chairperson Salaam Musumba, the Justice Forum Secretary General Fred Kasajja, and the UPC Secretary General Fred Ebil who also doubles as the current IPOD council chairman, visited the NRM party headquarters as they had the same to other parties in the recent past.

Salaam Musumba said she would be unable to go to State House because her party had not sanctioned her to do so, but assured her colleagues that FDC would accept the outcome of the meeting with the President.
