St Lawrence University crowned beach soccer Champions

St Lawrence University were declared winners of the University Beach Soccer Championship for the second year running after their 4-2 victory over Nkumba University in the final at Lido Beach, Entebbe. 

Suleiman Ochero notched a hat trick and Swalleh Kiggundu added the other goal for St Lawrence. Hassan Kivumbi scored a brace for Nkumba University.

Multitech Business School won the fair play award while St Lawrence's Kiggundu was the top scorer after scoring seven goals.

A trophy and medals are some of the prizes that were given out at the end of the championship to the winners.

The University Beach Soccer championship started in 2011. It has a membership of 26 universities across the country.
