Notice from Habitat for Humanity Uganda

Background

Habitat for Humanity Uganda (HFHU), affiliated to Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI), is a Christian non-profit organization dedicated to the cause of eliminating poverty housing. Since its founding in 1982, HFHU has built, rehabilitated, repaired and/or improved more than 8000 housing units in Uganda, providing simple, affordable shelter to over 48,000 individuals. This has been achieved through strategic approach including Vulnerable Group Housing (VGH), wholesale lending and Retail lending programs.

With the mission to eliminate poverty housing through provision of access to affordable finance for low income earners, HFHU is interested in partnering with credible Ugandan registered MFIs in the category A, B and C according to the classification by AMFIU.

The objective of the proposed partnership is to support and build capacity of potential partners who seek to implement or are already implementing housing micro lending activities with two services;
