Ajax Queens had good start to the new season of the FUFA Women Elite League with 3-0 victory over Rines SS at home in Budo over the weekend.

Bright Nabisaalu, Rukia Namubiru and Annet Namwenge scored for Ajax Queens.

Elsewhere, defending champions Kawempe Muslim came from goal down to settle for a 1-1 draw with new league entrants Lady Doves away in Masindi.

Grace Babirye scored for the home side before Juliet Nalukenge leveled matters for Kawempe Muslim.

At Nakawa, Sarah Namulindwa's own goal saw Asubo-Gafford Ladies go down 1-0 to She Corporates, while Hasifa Nassuna scored the only goal as UCU Lady Cardinals beat Isra Soccer Academy 1-0

In Bugiri, Town View SS lost 4-1 to Uganda Martyrs. Shadia Nankya had a brace before Kevin Nakacwa and Spencer Nakacwa added the other goals for Uganda Martyrs while  Shaluwa Nakayima scored a consolation for the home side.
