Betway Kobs overcame bitter rivals Hima Cement Heathens 10-8 to book a Uganda Cup final berth against defending champions Black Pirates who defeated Toyota Buffaloes 23-9 at Legends Rugby Club.

Next Saturday's final is a repeat of the 2011 final held in Jinja that Kobs emerged victorious.

Romano Ogwal scored a try while Kevin Keremundu scored a conversion for Heathens.

"A win is a win but we have a lot to polish up before the final," Kobs coach Fred Mudoola said after the game.

"They (Pirates) are the defending champions and we respect them, but we will try our best as we look to win," he added.
