Islamic University In Uganda are confident they can overturn a first leg defeat when they host Bugema University today for the second leg of their Pepsi University Football League quarter-final tie.

Debutants IUIU suffered their first defeat of the competition in the first leg of the quarter-final that was played last week when substitute Mugomba Frank's free kick with four minutes to play separated the two sides.

Despite the deficit, IUIU coach Kebba Haruna is confident that his charges will be able to retaliate.

"Bugema are a good team but I am confident we shall be able to beat them. When we met them last week, we didn't know how they play but now we know and we should be able to handle them," Kebba said.

Meanwhile, for Bugema coach Nyanzi Medhi, the objective of reaching the semi-final stage of the competition is very much on track and he is confident his side can complete the job in Mbale.

"At the start of the season I stated that our objective is to make it to the semi-finals this season. And I think we are very much on track.
The first leg almost ended in a draw but thankfully Mugomba was able to score and give us an advantage. It is a narrow advantage but we are going to maintain it and build on it," he said.
