Bugema University coach Medhi Nyanzi says they are ready to pursue their mission of reaching the Pepsi University Football League semi-finals.
"At the start of the season, I stated that our objective is to make it to the semi-finals this season. And I think we are very much on track," Nyanzi said as they prepare to take on Islamic University In Uganda (IUIU) in the quarter-final return leg having won the first leg 1-0 last week.
"IUIU have a very good team especially in defence. The first leg almost ended in a draw, but thankfully Mugomba was able to score and give us an advantage. It is a narrow advantage but we are going to maintain it and build on it,"he added.
However, IUIU coach Kebba Haruna is optimistic that his side will overturn the result.
"When we met last week, we didn't know how they play. But now we know how they play and we should be able to handle them," noted Kebba
Elsewhere, Uganda Christian University (UCU) will be seeking to over-turn a 3-0 deficit against two time champions Kampala University in Mukono.
