KAMPALA - A letter dated October 15 says that Jennifer Musisi has, after sevens years in charge, resigned as Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) executive director.

According to the letter, Musisi's resignation takes effect on December 15.

"Your Excellency, over the last seven and half years, we have made progress towards transforming Kampala," reads the letter.

The letter then goes on to detail "some of our performance highlights".

Meanwhile, on Twitter, Musisi posted on Monday that her seven years at the helm of KCCA have been "an arduous and yet very exciting journey as we have worked and seen our City changing, improving and beginning to climb out of its challenging history".

Musisi further tweets that service delivery and confidence in the city administration "have been strengthened".
