Uganda Cranes left-back Joseph Ochaya has signed for African football giants TP Mazembe.

In a statement released by the DR Congo-based outfit, the Ugandan star will join the club from Zambian side Lusaka Dynamos on a two year contract.

"The TPM is pleased to announce the signing of Joseph Benson OCHAYA. The Ugandan international (25 years old on December 14th), voted best left-back of the Zambian championship last season and holder in the national team, has joined the TPM for the next two seasons," read the statement.

Ochaya, who is expected to regroup with the Cranes next week for the 2019 Nations Cup qualifier against Lesotho, sounded delighted with his latest transfer and hopes to add to the long list of silverware at Mazembe.

"I am very pleased to be signing for the TPM. By joining a big club, you come to win titles," he stated after his unveiling ceremony.

Mazembe have won 16 league titles, five CAF Champions League and two CAF Confederations Cup titles.

Mike Mutyaba and Patrick Ochan are other Ugandans that have previously turned out TP Mazembe.
