The awakening of a giant in Tornado seems now to be taking course as they are so close to qualifying back to where they feel they belong.
It is important to remember the circumstances that surrounded Tornado's relegation which was a subject of a delegation vote that challenged the Appeals Committee which had overruled the decision of the Games Committee to relegate Tornado for not turning up for their game against Tornado Bee.
Now after eleven games played, Tornado have collected 53 points to remain strongly in the second position on the standings and interestingly have played a game less than their closest rivals SKLPS in their position.
Youngster Trevor Bukenya made the difference in Tornado's 164 runs crushing victory over Kings College Budo Sunday at Budo oval.
He impressed with the bat scoring a brutal half century of 54from 31 balls in a free scoring innings. John Gabula was exceptional with his halft of 57 not out from 54 balls to move the scoreboard to 292.
Bukenya whose performances deemed him man of the match claimed 2 wickets but Cosmas Kyewuta another youngster had 4 wickets to restrict the hosts to 128 all out.
The club are taking the long road, investing in a lot of youngsters who may become a great force in the future. With just three games left on their card, thy are surely two wins away from qualification.
Meanwhile Nile and Budo are headed to the third division of the men's league. Nile suffered a 10 wickets loss to Africa at Entebbe courtesy of Marvin Kitamirike and Emmanuel Odeng's 4 wickets apiece.
