Alwi hoping to spoil party for title favourites

With only 234 points in the National Rally championship (NRC) standings, Hassan Alwi is definitely not winning this year's crown, but he will be out to spoil the party for the contenders.

Alwi navigated by Enock Olinga in a Subaru N14, told New Vision that he will be out to win the MOSAC Mbale rally in November.

"We are fifth in the NRC with 234 points and we are out of the NRC title race, but we shall be out to spoil the party for those title contenders," Alwi said.

He won the Kabalega UMOSPOC rally early this month and believes his car is in good condition to give the NRC title contenders a run for their money.

Ronald Ssebuguzi, Suzan Muwonge, Jas Mangat  and NRC defending champions Christakis Fitidis are the title contenders.
