CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

African soccer governing body CAF has appointed Ugandan security guru Dixon Okello and match commissioner Mike Letti for the CAF Champions League quarterfinal games to be played later this month.

Okello has been at several sporting events as security officer within and out of Uganda.

He will be in charge of the game between Al Ahly of Egypt and Horoya AC of Guinea.

This will be a return leg match that will be played in Alexandria next Saturday (September 22).

The two sides are facing off in the quarterfinal first leg of the competition in Guinea.

Okello will work closely with Mohamed Dellagi of Tunisia as the other security officer.

Meanwhile, Letti is a former Uganda Cranes player. He will be a match commissioner of highly anticipated quarterfinal return leg tie between Wydad Casablanca of Morocco and ES Setifienne of Algeria next Friday.

The two teams are meeting for the first leg this evening in Algeria.

Wydad Casablanca, who are the defending champions, beat Al-Ahly of Egypt 2-1 on aggregate in last season's final.
