The third edition of Phillip Omondi preseason invitational tournament gets underway this Friday at StarTimes Stadium Lugogo. Four teams will take part in the event.

Hosts KCCA FC, two time winners Proline, Nyamityobora and Wakiso Giants will take part in the competition ahead of the 2018/2019 StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

The competition is also played in  memory of former KCCA and Uganda Cranes player Phillip Omondi who many regard so the best Ugandan footballer ever.

The draws for event were conducted yesterday. Each team will play two matches, with three points awarded for a win, one point for a draw, and a point for every goal scored.

Apart from winning, shots on target will be taken into account and used to decide the winners if all teams have the same points and goal difference.

The winner will walk away with sh1m.
