Fun, unity at Uganda festival

Sep 01, 2018

The Uganda festival in Washington DC kicked off on August 30 with a tour around the US Capitol, Washington DC. However, day two, three and four which started with business expo in the morning and dinner galas and boat cruise in the evening saw a number of high-spirited Ugandans flock the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Centre to spend the Labour Day weekend with their loved ones in style. Artistes like Chris Evans, Afrigo Band, Rudeboy and JD Shiru kept revellers on their toes till wee hours. The event was organised by Ugandans in the US under their umbrella organisation; Ugandans in North America Association Causes (UNAA Causes). Next year’s Uganda festival is scheduled to take place in New York.
