FUFA takes coaching course to western Uganda

FUFA level One course will run from September, 1 to 8.

Coaches within Kabale and surrounding areas have chance to equip themselves with new football tactics and methods.

FUFA and the Western region Football Association have organised two coaching courses  that will be held between  September, 1 to  14.

FUFA level One course will run from September, 1 to 8, while FUFA Beginners' coaching course will take place from September, 9 to 14.

"We are targeting games masters, school sports teachers, those interested in football coaching at primary and secondary school level, colleges, institutions of higher learning and universities in western Uganda," FUFA's Human Resource Capacity Building Manager Jackson Nyiima siad.

A US based organisation Soccer2Unite injected sh2.5m towards the organisation of the courses.

"It is always a pleasure for Soccer2Unite to partner with FUFA in developing football in Uganda. To have football developed at the grassroots, coaches need to be equipped with skills and the basics of the game.  It is our intention as Soccer2unite to support in football development as we work within FUFA`s vision of becoming the number one football Nation in Africa on and off the pitch through the five year strategic plan," Soccer2Unite head of operations Andrew Amanya said.

To be part  of the  FUFA Level One and FUFA Beginners' Courses one has to pay sh160,000 and sh120,000 respectively.
