The 2018 Global Peace Award was presented to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in honour of his leading peace efforts and initiatives in the Great Lakes region and beyond

LEADERS MEET

KAMPALA- President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni won a global peace award in honour of his leading peace efforts.
 
The 3-day Global Peace Leadership conference that started on August 1 was held at the Commonwealth Speke Resort Hotel in Munyonyo.
The 2018 Global Peace Award was presented to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in honour of his leading peace efforts and initiatives in the Great Lakes region and beyond.
 
The sixth Global Peace Leadership Conference (GPLC) is aimed at promoting innovative values-based approach to peace building.
 
This year's theme for the annual event is: "Moral and Innovative Leadership, New Models for Sustainable Peace and Development".
