Nudes could land Judith Heard in jail

City socialite Judith Heard is facing jail after the police opened up seven counts against her related to production of pornographic material and being a public nuisance.

Heard on Tuesday reported to the Central Police Station in Kampala in the company of her lawyer, James Katono and sisters after information leaked to her that the police were planning to arrest her.

She arrived at 8:00 am, but was kept at the station up to 9; 30PM during which time her lawyer pleaded with CID detectives to release her on bond.

She was later given bond but ordered to deposit her passport and asked report back on Friday. Luke Owesigyire, the spokesperson of Kampala Metropolitan Police confirmed that Heard was released on bond after making a statement.

 He stated that she is accused of producing pornographic pictures and videos of herself and posted them on social media contrary to the Anti-Pornography Act 2014.

The Act prohibits production and circulation of pornography materials and if convicted, she is likely to face a jail term of two years, a fine of sh5m or both.

 He said that in her statement, Heard did not deny being the one in the videos and pictures but stated that she did not circulate them to Social Media.

According to Owoyesigyire, she stated that her phone and laptop where she had kept the pictures and videos were stolen and the thieves must have intended to blackmail her by circulating the material.

She insisted that she did not consent for the circulation of the pictures but the detectives pressed her to produce evidence that her phone and laptop were stolen, which she failed to do.

She is said to have told the detectives that she did not trust the police and could therefore not bother herself reporting the matter of the loss of her property.

A sources revealed that Heard had attempted to apply for a visa from the United Kingdom high commission to leave the country after repeated summons to the police.

The police had wanted to arrest her as he left the commission but her lawyer pleaded that he would escort her to the police station.

  Dressed in a light black dress, Heard is said to have ignored the police summons to answer how her pictures were posted on Social Media.

Lillian Rukundo, daughter of Maj. Gen. Gervas Mugyenyi was recently remanded to Luzira Prison after she denied her earlier confession of appearing in phonographic pictures that went viral on social media.
