Cardinal Wamala opens commercial building on Kampala road

After Cardinal Wamala performed the blessing ceremony and cut the commemorative tape of the new building, he also blessed other floors.

A commercial building which will house shops, restaurants and offices has been opened in the city Centre on Kampala Road. 

Emmanuel Cardinal Wamala on Saturday blessed and formally opened Thobani Complex, a ten storied commercial building at the site formerly housing  Ashok .

After Cardinal Wamala performed the blessing ceremony and cut the commemorative tape of the new building, he also blessed other floors.   

In his speech Cardinal Wamala praised Thoban  and his team  for what he described as developmental projects. 

"Through the labour of our hands, we continually seek to be the stewards over God's creation," he said. 

"May God the Father of goodness and author of all human labour, grant all those who plan and conduct business in this building his guidance and support, come to right decision and carry them out fairly," he prayed.

Muhamood Thobani, the managing director of Fourways Investments Ltd,  said the construction of the complex began in December 2014. 

"I have my own saying that God always takes care," he said. "We have been many times blessed today. It is a joyous day for all of us."

Thobani revealed that the complex was constructed under Thoban  Ventures , a partnership with Kanani Group from India,  Jubilee Stores  (of Dubai)  and Fourways investments Ltd.

Guests at the launch included the managing director of Bank of Baroda, Ashwini Kumar, managing director of Thobani Ventures plus several partners.
