Mozambique president on three day visit to Kigali

PRESIDENTIAL VISIT

KIGALI - The President of Mozambique, Filipe Nyusi, is in Rwanda's capital, Kigali for a three-day visit to the country.

Nyusi, who is said to have arrived in the country on Thursday was received by Rwanda's President, Paul Kagame at Kigali International Airport.

On his second day of the visit, Nyusi is expected to visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial and KLab tech incubation Centre.

The development was confirmed by Rwanda government via a twitter handle; @RwandaGov.

"On the second day of his visit to Rwanda, President Filipe Nyusi of #Mozambique arrives at @Kigali_Memorial, to pay his respect to the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi," the tweet read.

According to Rwanda media reports, the head of state is also expected to tour La Corniche One Stop Border Post in Rubavu and the King's Palace Museum in Nyanza.

Kagame, during the state banquet said Rwanda and Mozambique have a similar liberation path and vision for African integration.
