KIGALI - Zamoyoni Jaboneke and Kassim Mussa took three wickets apiece while Abhik Patwa and Muhammed Khan added 47 and 40 runs respectively as Tanzania stunned Uganda earlier on Wednesday at the ICC World T20 Africa Qualifier Group B in Rwanda.

The defeat slowed down Uganda's charge for a top-two finish in the four-team tournament, which is a qualifier for the African Qualifier.

It left the Cricket Cranes needing to win their final two games to be sure of qualification.

Uganda were led by skipper Roger Mukasa with 38 runs, Ronak Patel and Dinesh Nakrani adding 33 and 32 runs respectively, but Steve Tikolo's side were held to their lowest score of the tournament by a team they hammered by 64 runs four days ago.

Uganda and Tanzania are level on four points with two games to play - against Kenya and Rwanda - but Mukasa's men have a far superior net run rate.

Still, today's loss to Tanzania opened the window for Uganda's potential failure to secure a top two finish, which is a must to progress to the Africa qualifier.
