The single-tie knockout tournament will be the first of its kind
FUFA Super 8 (Aug 1-25)
The first edition of the FUFA Super 8 tournament will be played from August 1-25.
The three-week tourney that doubles as preparation for 2018/19 season will involve eight teams.
The tournament will comprise of the top six ranked teams from the 2017/18 Uganda Premier League season as well as the top two from the FUFA Big League.
This means that Vipers, KCCA, SC Villa, Onduparaka, Kirinya-Jinja SS, BUL FC, Ndejje University and Nyamityobora will take part in the tournament.
The eight clubs are supposed to confirm their participation before July 12 and they will be expected to register their squads with FUFA Competitions department by July 20.
The single-tie knockout tournament will be the first of its kind.
Prize money of sh30m will be shared by all 8 clubs with the winner taking sh10m.
